The application for the ASTERIX Young Scholar (YS) 2024 Summer Research Experience at Florida International University is now open!
Two high school students will be selected to participate in our Young Scholar Summer Research Experience this summer. Participants will explore the various multidisciplinary research areas of the ASTERIX Consortium, interact with ASTERIX graduate students and faculty. The program aims to create awareness and provide hands on experience to the young scholars. Though the program, students will be engaged in different assignments focusing on development on their analytical and technical skills related to DOE projects.
Program Details
Dates:
June 10th – July 26th, 2024
Stipend:
Students will receive a $2,000 stipend upon successful completion of the program.
Research Topics:
Flexible sensors, Wearable devices, Power harvesting systems, Low power application, RF application, Microfabrication, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Nanobiotechnology.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2024 Young Scholars ASTERIX program you:
- Must be a U.S Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Must be a High School student.
- Must participate for the entire period of the program.

The application deadline for Summer 2024 is March 18th, 2024.
