The applications for the ASTERIX 2026 Young Scholar (YS) Summer Research Experience at Florida International University are now open!
Two high school students will be selected to participate in our Young Scholar Summer Research Experience this summer. Participants explore the various multidisciplinary research areas of the ASTERIX Consortium, interact with ASTERIX graduate students and faculty. The program aims to create awareness and provide hands on experience to the young scholars. Though the program, students will be engaged in different assignments focusing on development on their analytical and technical skills related to DOE projects.
Program Details
Dates:
June 8th to July 31st, 2026.
Stipends:
A $2,000 USD stipend for participants who complete the program.
Research Topics:
Machine Learning, Deep learning, Generative AI, LLM, Cyber Security and Vision Models
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2026 RET ASTERIX program you:
- Must be a U.S Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Must be a High School student.
- Must participate for the entire period (40 hours a week) of the program.
