The application for the ASTERIX 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience for Undergraduates at Florida International University is now open!
The selected students will be immersed in a 10-week intensive research experience in the field of advanced sensors and systems. Participants will gain experience under the guidance of an established research group by investigating a topic from a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines.
In addition to their research work, participants will be able to attend professional development seminars, and workshops.
REU Applications are reviewed and matched to faculty mentors on a rolling basis, so it’s very important that you apply as soon as possible.

May 20th – July 26th, 2024
Stipends:
$5,000 stipend for the 10-week Summer Research Program
Research Topics:
Flexible sensors, Wearable devices, Power harvesting systems, Low power application, RF application, Microfabrication, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Nanobiotechnology.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2024 REU ASTERIX program you:
- Must be a U.S Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S
- Must be enrolled in a two year or four-year Engineering degree program.

The application deadline for Summer 2023 is March 17th, 2023.
