The application for the ASTERIX 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience for Teachers at Florida International University is now open!
Two teachers will be selected to participate in the summer RET program at the ASTERIX Consortium. Participants will gain experience under the guidance of an established research group by investigating a topic from a broad spectrum of science and engineering disciplines.
Teachers will learn about cutting edge techniques and tools used in advanced sensors development and engineering, conduct a research study, and design curricular materials to use in their classroom.
Program Details
Dates:
June 10th – July 26th, 2024
Stipends:
Teachers will receive a $8,000 stipend for their work as an RET.
Research Topics:
Flexible sensors, Wearable devices, Power harvesting systems, Low power application, RF application, Microfabrication, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Nanobiotechnology.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2024 RET ASTERIX program you must:
- Must be a U.S Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Participate for the entire period (40 hours a week) of the program.
- Participants are required to attend all daily and weekly meetings, seminars, field trips and workshops.
